20 Dec, 2021

After 8 years of support alongside our partner Child Nepal, it is time to hand over: the Maternelle de l'Espoir, a school designed to protect and educate the children of women caught up in prostitution networks in Kathmandu, will become a public kindergarten from January 2022.

This was one of the objectives of the project. After weeks of preparation, we have just passed the torch December 12 to the municipality of TokhaDuring an official meeting with the mayor and his council, the president of the district, parents and the presidents and secretaries of Child Nepal.

Ward 11, where the school is located, was the only ward in Tokha where there was no school public. The school will now be under the responsibility of a communal management committee with a public operating budget.

The school will now be open to all children in the neighborhood.
