Working with vulnerable mothers in Vietnam
L'accompaniment of the families is thus one of our priorities in Vietnam to enable them to solve their difficulties by themselves.
For 6 to 9 months, our teams of social workers offer psycho-social support to vulnerable families and direct them to the appropriate services to which they are entitled but often do not know (housing, health, education).
Special attention is given to women, who are supported in finding a job and in managing their families on a daily basis.
Women's economic empowerment is one of the keys to poverty reduction in developing countries, especially in Vietnam.
Enabling women to access employment also means enabling the household to have a decent income and thus providing children with access to education and health services.
Mrs. Hong is one of the beneficiaries of our family support project in Ho Chi Minh City.
Previously without a stable job, mother of 3 children out of school, suffering from malnutrition, the follow-up offered by Planète Enfants & Développement has opened new opportunities for her. She was able to send her children to school thanks to scholarships, follow nutrition workshops to offer them a balanced diet, but also increase her turnover on the market.
Mrs. Hong has also learned to manage her family budget and is now more confident about the future.
Supporting the emancipation of women and accompanying their families means give children a chance to grow up in a healthy and protective environment.
