Buddi Shresta, Director of Operations in Nepal, takes us on a tour of the Pariwartan social center opened last May to counsel and train girls and women victims of prostitution in Kathmandu.
Since the opening of the Pariwartan social center in May, the project's social workers have been visiting establishments where sexually exploited girls and women work - or are at risk of being sexually exploited - to inform them of the center's existence, the services it offers, and to identify their main difficulties.
In addition, the team has already held two group counseling sessions to explain the organization of the center and the opportunity for these girls and women to receive psychosocial follow-up. On this occasion, the participants showed their interest in being informed about legal issues, professional training and reproductive health.
10 women also received individual counseling sessions twice a week.
