Although our EBSS project on health in textile factories is almost over, our team in Cambodia has re-launched activities. We have gathered its network of female worker educators to educate workers in 3 factories on barrier practices and limit the spread of Covid-19.
Awareness, a priority in epidemic periods
Our project manager, Mao Sophors, organized awareness sessions in 3 of our partner factories in Kampong Speu province. During 3 days, from April 7 to 9, our teams went to meet the workers in the factories. The staff of the infirmaries were trained and the workers were made aware of the good health measures to adopt in the face of the pandemic.
Participants were also informed about the symptoms of Covid-19 and what to do if they become infected.
Thus, with the help of our worker-educators, 3,300 workers were thus able to be sensitized in the space of a few days. A big thank you to these health ambassadors for their commitment!
