One article wouldn't be enough to give a complete overview of all the activities we've carried out thanks to the support of our donors and partners over the last few months. Nevertheless, we would like to take a quick look at some of our achievements as we approach the end of the year.
Teacher training and support in Nepal
- 53 kindergarten teachers from the Gorkha region trained: 1 x 5-day training course on classroom leadership techniques + 1 x 2-day training course on making games from recycled materials.
- Monthly in-class coaching by social mobilizers
- Distribution of a school kit to all children in 48 schools
- 10 classrooms equipped with carpets, cushions and furniture
- 1-day training on early childhood for 48 school management committees and parent-teacher associations
Protecting unaccompanied minors in Poipet, Cambodia
- 109 unaccompanied minors cared for in a temporary reception office at the border, and 153 children in the long-term accommodation center run by our partner Damnok Toek.
- 107 agents and shopkeepers trained as members of the "Child Safe Agent" network
- 18 social workers trained in family welfare methodology
- First 30 families selected for social follow-up
Developing the maternity assistant sector in Burkina Faso
- 6 mentor childminders trained to support their peers
- 45 childcare assistants advised on site 3 times a week by our coaches Raicha and Inès, on the welcome and animation, profitability and visibility of their crèche.
- 40 childminders trained for 1 week in management and leadership skills
- 1 study carried out to define the legal form of an association of early childhood professionals in Burkina Faso
Workshops to stimulate children and support parenting in excluded families in Vietnam
- 64 activity sessions in 3 children's/parents' workshops in social centers
- 153 participating families
- 3 refresher courses and 37 coaching sessions for 9 workshop leaders
- Examples of topics covered in animation sessions: first aid, home safety, language development, motor skills games, gender and toys, reading books, talking about emotions, the screen and managing emotions, etc.
Helping vulnerable young people find jobs in India's green economy
