BURKINA FASO
Burkina Faso has faced armed conflicts in recent years. In 2025, the government is pursuing its goal of securing the country and improving the quality of life for its people by adopting a strong military policy.
Despite the challenges, Burkina Faso’s economy is showing GDP growth of 5.7 % (compared to 4.9 % in 2024). While the economy as a whole is growing, there remains a striking contrast between stable urban areas and rural areas. The decline in agricultural production in conflict zones and the strain on local resources caused by population displacement continue to leave some households in a state of significant economic vulnerability.
