BiiBop, a young social enterprise of games and toys in Burkina Faso linked to Planète Enfants & Développement, has been chosen to produce and widely distribute a picture book in the country's nursery schools.
The goal is to ensure that all children have access to quality early childhood education.
2022 is the year of the generalization of the imagiers in the nursery schools in Burkina Faso. The Ministry is in charge of producing the imagiers for public schools. For its part, BiiBop has just delivered 192 to the Association Sœur Emmanuelle (ASMAE) and is currently producing 30 more to equip private schools. And as of the beginning of the school year in September, all private schools that do not yet have one will be able to buy directly from BiiBop.
The "Yam Wekré" imagier (which means "blossoming intelligence" in the Mooré language) was born out of a project conducted by ASMAE between 2015 and 2018 to improve teaching practices in Burkina Faso, and then validated by the Ministry of National Education and Literacy. It is a pedagogical tool made up of more than 300 images divided into 29 themes that helps prepare children for learning to read and write.
BiiBop is recognized as doing quality work. This is why, after having participated in training sessions on the use of the imagier, the social enterprise was chosen to be the reseller of the imagier in Burkina Faso.
BiiBop is a social and solidarity enterprise (SSE) that designs, manufactures and markets educational toys and materials adapted to children aged 0 to 6 years in Burkina Faso. It belongs to 40% to Planète Enfants & Développement.
