From July 28 to August 13, PE&D trained 14 trainers and 255 public agents on the archiving of civil status documents in 85 communes of the Boucle du Mouhoun and the Centre-Ouest of Burkina Faso.
A training guide and a summary brochure, created with the DGMEC (Direction Générale de la Modernisation de l'Etat Civil) and the DGA (Direction Générale des Archives), were given to them at the end of the training.
"The agents present really appreciated being listened to and taken into consideration during this training. In the very difficult security context that the country is going through, it is very important to ensure that the identity of citizens is respected: the registration of each Burkinabe, without discrimination, and the availability of civil status documents throughout their lives are essential.explains Estelle Dahani, Burkina Faso Director of PE&D.
