From June 12 to July 6, 2025, we welcomed 5 female students and 1 male student from Bordeaux's KEDGE Business School to Phnom Penh, as part of their Univers'Elles project, to encourage the sharing of knowledge between young people and the empowerment of women through entrepreneurship.
Working together to create projects
For two weeks, students from the Univers'Elles project and the University of Cambodia in Phnom Penh received training in entrepreneurship, then formed groups to develop 4 projects: 2 on waste management and environmental impact, 2 focusing on mental health. They then presented their work to a jury, who selected 2 projects to receive funding of around 350 euros.
The students also took part in a collective clean-up day in the city.
Women supported by our association at the heart of the mission
Six women monitored by Planète Enfants & Développement as part of the HaLI project also took part in this adventure. They are seamstresses or saleswomen and run their own businesses in the Sensabay and Andong districts.
Univers'Elles students shared new ideas, practical advice and feedback with them, and provided them with a 2,000-euro kitty to support their activities.
With rich exchanges, focused on concrete actions, adapted to the needs of the field, this mission laid the foundations of a partnership that both structures wish to extend.
