In addition to providing social support and improving housing conditions in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, we are developing a program to help families set up micro-enterprises. Not only does this help to improve their living conditions, it also helps to balance financial decisions within the couple and promote gender equality.
"I'm very happy because I can now put money aside and help my children go to school", a shopkeeper supported by the program.
As part of this program, we train participants to draw up a business plan, manage their business finances and define their marketing strategy. We also provide them with the equipment they need to start up their business, and accompany them for six months.
