From October 2018<\/strong>Plan\u00e8te Enfants & D\u00e9veloppement is working on the creation of theNursery assistant<\/strong> in collaboration with the Burkinabe government and two local associations in the province of Yatenga: theAGB<\/strong> (Association des Gardes B\u00e9b\u00e9s), which runs a cr\u00e8che for the children of Ouahigouya's girl-mothers and theAFEDEB<\/strong> (Association F\u00e9minine Pour le D\u00e9veloppement du Burkina Faso), which promotes the maternal assistant sector in the province.<\/p>\n

This project responds to a real need<\/strong> of women<\/strong>. When they work, they either take their children with them and cannot fully invest in them, or they entrust them to people who are not qualified to do so. This has a great impact on thefulfillment<\/strong> and theawakening<\/strong> of toddlers<\/strong>These children suffer from a lack of stimulation and developmental delays.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

This project has 3 objectives:<\/b><\/span><\/p>\n

\u2013<\/b><\/span> To offer a professional training as a Maternal Assistant to 150 women, who will be able to take care of children at home on their own or be employed in a childcare facility,<\/p>\n

\u2013<\/span><\/b><\/span> To give the opportunity to work to mothers who had no one to take care of their child(ren),<\/p>\n

\u2013<\/span><\/b><\/span> To entrust children under 3 years of age to early childhood professionals, in a secure environment, conducive to their development and growth.<\/p>\n
