Since the end of 2017, Plan\u00e8te Enfants &amp; D\u00e9veloppement has been accompanying kindergarten teachers in the Nepalese district of Dhading. This accompaniment aims to better <span style=\"color: #ef7097;\">Stimulate small students, especially through play.<\/span><\/em><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">To date, we have trained more than <strong><span style=\"color: #4893d7;\">20 teachers who teach in local schools<\/span><\/strong>. They have followed an initial training designed and led by our Early Childhood Development expert followed by on-the-job coaching.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">In order to ensure the <strong><span style=\"color: #4893d7;\">course quality<\/span><\/strong>These teachers are regularly monitored by the PE&amp;D team.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">While more than 90% of children in developed countries grow up in kindergarten, only 50% of children in developing countries do. Yet this is <span style=\"color: #f5a129;\">during the first years that the child lays the foundations of its development.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">These activities are part of a comprehensive project, launched in 2006, to promote gender equality and<span style=\"color: #ef7097;\">improving conditions for early childhood development<\/span> of the Chepang minority of Dhading. This community is historically discriminated against and extremely precarious. This project also supports young girls and women, as well as their children, working in exploitative conditions in the entertainment sector in Kathmandu. More than 1400 people will benefit from this project in 3 years.
