Nicole Chu, Director of Sustainable Development at Sabrina Textile, speaks after visiting one of the daycare centers we recently opened in the women's villages of Cambodia
" A quality daycare center allows children to be in securityin good health and well learn. During my visit to the Prey Tachhab crèche on May 27, I saw that these community crèches put the needs of the child at the center, with trusted educators providing attention and care in positive and varied learning environments. I look forward to seeing the next crèche that PE&D will soon build, and its influence on parents' consideration of the importance of education and early childhood. "
1/3 of the toddlers welcomed in the 4 nurseries opened in the spring are children of employees working in the Sabrina company. This clothing factory currently employs about 6,000 people. Sabrina regularly opens its doors to Planète Enfants & Développement to explain to its employees the importance of early childhood development and offer them this new mode of care for their children.
The objective of the project is to propose quality childcare services, affordable and sustainable for the children of garment workers, close to their homes in Cambodian villages. Thanks to these daycare centers, parents, especially mothers, have the possibility of working and being autonomous and children are safe, alert and stimulated
