Although scheduled for end of April, the opening of our day-care center in Phnom Penh has been postponed until June because of the Coronavirus outbreak. The center will welcome 40 children between 6 month and 4 years old, in a 300 sqm villa with garden; the aim is to protect and stimulate children under the best possible conditions.
Renovation and purchasing equipment from local companies is under way.
Sorya, Kidora director and Nany, retired day-care center director, are finalizing the educational project of the center:
“We wish to put the child at the center of the project, to respect his/her rhythm and develop all his/her abilities. The relation with the parents will also be brought to the fore”.
With an affordable tuition rate, this center will reach out to children of the emerging class in Boeung Toumpoung neighborhood. Our objective is to promote active learning and also use the benefits of the center to develop a quality care for the very young kids in Cambodia.
