On 18 March 2017, the Planète Enfants & Développement team in Vietnam organised a professional training and employment fair for young people living in one of the neighbourhoods where they are active in Ho Chi Minh City (HCMC).

Over 2,000 people attended the fair, the majority of whom were vulnerable young secondary school pupils looking for professional guidance. Twenty training centres and social enterprises came to present the training they offer and their trades at stands where the young attendees could come and try out a profession, ask for more information, chat with a professional, etc. This allowed them to discover different sectors, such as robotics, beauty treatments, crafts, hospitality, etc.

A conference was also held to allow the local authorities to present the social policies for vulnerable young people currently in place, and also to allow the various stakeholders to discuss their experiences regarding the professional training of young people in HCMC and helping them integrate into the workforce.
