There was a gathering of those working with young children in Vietnam and Cambodia for free play training in Ho Chi Minh City.

Representatives of the Planète Enfants & Développement teams in Cambodia and Vietnam, as well as a representative of our Cambodian partner Krousar Yoeung, participated in a training course on the pedagogy of free play in Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, organized by the Hong Kong association “Playright.” This training session was a very good opportunity for the teams to interact with others working with young children in both countries.

In Cambodia, as part of a partnership with the French association Chemins d’Enfances, Planète Enfants & Développement and Krousar Yoeung are among the pioneers of free play, notably offering training and materials adapted to the local situation at the early childhood resource centre in Phnom Penh. For the Planète Enfants & Développement Vietnam team, this training was an opportunity to learn about how this pedagogy works in a context where Vietnamese society is rightly committed to offering more activities to toddlers and parents at social centres.
