Over the past two years, we have trained 300 young women to become childcare workers and have enabled them to obtain a diploma recognized by the Burkinabe government. We are now following these women in their professional integration or in the creation of their business and this month we are offering them 2 days of additional training to build their financial plan and access credit.
Over the past two years, we have trained 300 young women to the profession ofchildminder and allowed them to obtain a diploma recognized by the Burkinabe State. We are now following these women in their professional insertion or the creation of their company and we propose them this month, 2 days of additional training to build their financing plan and access credit.
Of the 300 women trained, 100 chose to create their own childcare facility (mini-nurseries) and therefore received 3 additional trainings: onuse of the cell phone for the promotion of their crèche, on the creation and management of their institution and on thefinancial education. This last training took place in October at Ouagadougou and will take place in November at Ouahigouya. Another 200 women are accompanied and trained in job search techniques.
During the trainings, we offer them theoretical modules and then bring them to work in a group to familiarize themselves with certain tools and to participate in role-playing and simulation exercises.
Thanks to the training of these women and the multiplication of new quality childcare options for toddlers, more and more young children will have access in the coming months to spaces conducive to their development. More and more mothers are entrusting their young children to professionals with confidence to work, earn income and gain independence, or return to school.
